It’s official! Dr. Austin A. Lane is the new president of Texas Southern University (TSU). Dr. Lane was appointed June 7, 2016 via unanimous vote by TSU’s Board of Regents. A gathering of students, faculty, staff and alumni welcomed Dr. Lane as the university’s 12th president following the vote.
The Texas Diversity Council is hosting the last two symposiums for 2016! The 12thAnnual Women in Leadership Symposiums theme is Secure Your Place at the Table.
On April 12, 2016, the Texas Diversity Council hosted the 12th Annual Diversity and Leadership Conference at the Westin Memorial City in Houston, Texas. Attendees of the conference gained knowledge and advice from corporate leaders who shared insight from their personal success and leadership experience as professionals. “I am so proud of the success of the Diversity and Leadership Conference,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chair of the National Diversity Council. “This type of event offers a major contribution to the improvement of diversity and inclusion in the workplace."
