The Texas Diversity Council is looking for VOLUNTEERS that can help us can directly contribute to the achievement of the organization's mission.

The Texas Diversity Council, a non-profit organization established in 2004, is committed to fostering a learning environment for organizations to grow in their knowledge of diversity and inclusion. The Council spans six markets and affords opportunities for organizations to share best practices and learn from top corporate leaders in the areas of diversity and inclusion.

The TXDC is currently made up of eight markets throughout the state of Texas. The Councils serve the greater Metropolitan Areas of Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Golden Triangle, Houston, Montgomery County, and San Antonio.

Volunteering for a non-profit is a process that is rewarding for all parties involved. Join our volunteer efforts and step beyond your world to assist us spread our message of Diversity and Inclusion not just within the workplace, but in the communities we live in!

Youth Programs:

Young Women's Leadership Symposium - The mission of the Young Women's Leadership Symposium is to promote the development of future business leaders by giving young women access to mentors and businesses that support their goals. The Symposium will focus on leadership, college and career planning, diversity, advocacy for girls and much more.

Volunteer Opportunities


Summer Youth Program at Rice University - Each year, the Texas Diversity Council in partnership with the Multicultural Community Relations Office of Public Affairs at Rice University holds a week-long program will engage 60 to 80 students from selected low-income middle and high schools from June 1-5 on the Rice University Campus. Students are selected by their guidance counselors to participate for FREE.

Student will participate in sessions such as, Princeton Review Practice SAT Testing, STEM Career Panel Discussions, Over 10 hours College Admission Essay -Writing Instruction, and Admission/Financial Aid presentations.

Newsletter Editorial Board - This is a voluntary position, and there is no remuneration related to the post. The role of the Editorial Board is to advise and support the Newsletter. There is a ONE year time commitment for this Board.
