I am Vice President of Human Resources for UMC Health System and responsible for the management and supervision of the Human Resource functions for the Hospital. I have more than 30 years of human resource experience, working in various industries.

Currently, I serve on several Lubbock community organization boards. They are the Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains (1st Vice Chair), WorkForce Solutions of the South Plains (Past Board Chair), Goodwill Industries (President Elect), AJ Editorial Board, and Guadalupe-Parkway Board. I serve as a Civil Service Commissioner for the City of Lubbock.

I have been honored with a plaque in my name placed on the MLK Memorial located Mae Simmons in entitled "Footprints of History" for being a trailblazer in the Lubbock community.

I served on the several community service Boards and initiatives such as United Way. Lubbock Area Foundation, Women Protective Service, South Plains College Equity Board, the Children's Advocacy Center Board (2000 Board President), the Youth Corp Board (1999 2009), the Broadway Festivals Board (1999 Street Fair Committee Co-Chair), and the Susan B. Komen Race for The Cure (1999 Committee Co-Chair).

I received the 2008 Girl Scouts Women of Distinction Award and the 2007 YWCA Women of Excellence Award for Government Service. I am a graduate of Leadership Lubbock 2005.

I have a Master's Degree in Business Administration with honors, a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, and have several Human Resource Certifications.

I am a member of Trinity Church and a member of Lubbock Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
